2. Hyoid Suspension

Hyoid bone is U-shaped in the neck with some of the muscles and tissues. When the OSA happens, then it means there is some blockage or obstruction with the U-shaped bone. Secondly, this surgical method protects hyoid bone to the thyroid as well as the airway inside the throat.

4. Maxillomandibular Advancement

MMA is a unique surgical methodology that will involve the movement of jaws and front tissues of the tongue forward. This technique always keeps the throat clear by reducing soft tissues and palates easily, while the obstruction is also controlled by this surgical treatment.

Talk with Specialist or Doctor

Undoubtedly, Sleep Apnea exists in three states including mild, moderate and severe. However, the effects to health of all these states are risky and serious. The patients of OSA mostly are unaware of the threats and chronic effects, because they consider it a usual sleeping disorder.

Every patient must move back to health professionals and doctors to discuss sleep apnea in detail and find the best solution to overcome it as soon as possible. However, the non-medical treatments will be the basic measures to reduce snoring and then OSA. When you have severe OSA, then definitely you must ask your doctor for comprehensive treatments to recover from this sleeping disorder that may further cause a number of serious diseases.

Yeah I feel you on that, it does make it to where you are afraid to sleep. Doing the research it says you won’t die in your sleep but it is dangerous if left untreated. The reason being is you don’t get much sleep which can lead to heart disease and diabetes. Thank God I haven’t had an episode in about 3 years. Try sleeping on your side, it works for me. I would always have it happen to me when I would sleep on my back.

Get his sleep study done in a sleep clinic in your area. This test is called diagnostic polysomnography for which patient has to sleep over in the clinic. He will be prepared by sleep technologist and will be studied overnight there to find out any sleep problem. If you suspect him to be having sleep apnea get this test earliest as this problem is very detriment for overall health and safety of person

I have had osa for 35 yrs now mild/severe. started off from a head injury I have type 2 diabetes but nothing else no brain damage no heart problems no strokes and still alive. Even skinny people have this so been overweight might not help but isn’t the cause for some. Frankly, I don’t think the specialist have a clue because my CPAP machine doesn’t work for me. The most important thing is depression not able to work because falling to sleep there having no money because not working n keeping a woman who wants to sleep with you wearing a mask but hay all my best to you all, good look

Its still surprises me, just how some people have no idea about Saladulux Method (do a google search), despite the fact that many people completely stop their snoring with this method. Thanks to my buddy who told me about Saladulux Method, I finally eliminated my embarrassment for good by using natural and fast approaches.

So for years I would sleep on my side and I would be fine and actually got so use to sleeping on my side that I preferred it but recently even though I stopped smoking, haven’t had alcohol in a few weeks, go to the gym 5 days a week and am eating healthier sleeping on my side no longer works and it has gotten worse over the last couple of weeks. so I don’t know if I should slow down on the gym because loosing weight is recommended but most days I have really bad headaches and dizziness, trouble concentrating, fatigue and my whole body is sore, today I was so bad that I had trouble breathing during the day because my hard beat was irregular I thought I was going to faint every time I stood up for more than 5 minutes. I keep thinking that as long as I keep eating healthy and exercising i will eventually be able to sleep but it’s getting to the point where it is affecting every aspect of my life I study at the moment and am beginning to fall behind because I’m unable to concentrate. since I’m a student and cant afford a Dr are there any other things I could be doing to get rid of the apnia

Sounds pretty bad but I don’t think it’s sleep apnea. You need to do the opposite. Rest. Maybe do yoga or meditate. They provide the same benefits as most excerise and allow you to practice or even imporve your breathing. Fainting is a big no-no. Never excerise if you feel light headed. Talk to a doctor though.
